A tiny piece of a stupid thing I am drawing for stupid reasons. Appa goes ‘mrrrrr’…
curvaceousmite asked: Hello there! I stumbled across your image of the hamster tree (which I love!), and I was wondering if myself and a friend of mine could use it in a project we're doing. Essentially, having both read The Abarat (and loved it), we recently discovered that the web address "hamstertree. com" is available. We are hoping to record ourselves singing the tune and then have it play perpetually at that address. Could we use your hamster tree image for the site? Thanks!
Well, hello! As a fellow lover of Abarat and all things Abaratian, I’d be both honored and delighted to grant permission for you to use the image. I only ask that you credit the art on the website (a hyperlink credit to my Tumblr is fine) and send me the website link to my ask (in case it changes).
Drawing Darling - Part Two
And…you’ve seen the end product, so
This was fun, I guess. It took over a month, because I worked on it for maybe an hour a day. And I’m slooow.
War Balloon a.k.a. “The bigger stupid thing”
Inspired by the events of “The Boiling Rock Part 1.” Dialogue is obviously paraphrased, but I swear that’s how I heard it. And I really wanted it to be a balloon.
First time using Gimp. Ugly fonts, yes. My art gets dumber the older I get.
Card and drawing for my dearest darlingest Samantha-friend’s birthday care package. The first is a hamster tree on a giant newt (for those of you who understand the reference), and the second is a sasquatch wearing a frilly apron and gardening. You can’t see that the flower is smiling, thanks to bad camera quality. All pencil. Whoo!
Drawing Darling - Part One
The drawing process of ”Darling” (part one), a commission for which I received payment in pen nibs!
